A Gift

Die Arbeit entstand 2012 in Johannesburg, Südafrika, und wurde nach Sarnen exportiert. Im Mittelpunkt der Arbeit stehen die mit dem Ortswechsel verbundenen Verschiebungen von Perspektiven und Sinnbezügen – und ein räumlicher Veränderungsprozess.

‹Whom does this work belong to?› ‹Maybe I would say: to the audience. Because you as an artist, you are an author of this work, we know that. But then you are directing it to someone else, who maybe should take ownership of the statement, because it should mean something to them. You see, in this case I would like to give credits to the audience and say, maybe it belongs to them. As a gift.›
