Unconscious Change – Power of Knowledge

Come to experience the power of information. This will be an extraordinary exhibition experience, where you are invited to continue to create or dis- rupt directly on the artwork. You need to engage every muscle and directly participate. This may be a difficult decision. However, bravely participate and see it as an experiment with no winners or losers; wait for the unknown.

Information gathers within me, forming a new value orientation in mind, silently influencing choices and quietly guiding life. Exploring how information influences behaviour through art is the core of "Unconscious Change – Power of Knowledge"

300 handwritten cards cover three major themes in ecology: fossil energy, the five major forests, and food. Presented in hand- written form, they reflect my absorption and transformation of these topics. This involves the concept of "Chi" in Chinese culture. "Chi" is considered the fundamental element constituting all things in the universe, possessing a fluid nature. Information enters my body in visual form, undergoes internal changes, and finally emerges in written form. Handwritten information is the result of the flow of "Chi". When this "Chi" reenters the audience‘s bodies through visual means, their emotions, viewpoints, and attitudes will be influenced.

A 12-meter oil painting presents my feelings and understanding of the three major themes mentioned above. It creates an atmosphere. In my opinion, no specific object can fully represent the complexity of these themes. The audience is invited to continue creating on the canvas. The different emotions or feelings triggered by the information on the cards will be expressed through painting. All possibilities are anticipated. Each audience‘s participation will permanently change the final form of the artwork.
