Jerome Ming is an artist and often involves a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to the working process.
Constantly uprooted, Ming has lived in countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. The consequences of this displacement have formed distinct themes occupying his current practice and working methods. Ming has connections with art education in schools since the 1990’s and has previously taught photography at Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore and the Warsaw School of Photography and Design in Poland. He is a participating artist in STUDIOLOG and collaborated on the Master Dialogue workshop in 2019.
Ming studied Fine Arts at Trent Polytechnic in Nottingham (England), Photojournalism at The London Institute (England), and received his Masters in Fine Art (Photography) from the University of Hartford (USA). In 2019 Ming received the MACK First Book Award for ‘Oobanken’. He currently resides in Pretoria, South Africa.
